Job Summary:
KEMET Electronics is seeking a production technician within the Tantalum Production facility located in Simpsonville, SC.
The technician will provide mechanical / electromechanical support for pilot line equipment to include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment modifications and upgrades.
This position interfaces in a team environment including engineering, quality and production.Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be able and willing to work primarily 1st shift - flexibility to work other shifts & overtime may be required periodically.
Capable and experienced in working independently to a production schedule.
Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skillsExcellent teamwork skills which include demonstrating a positive attitude, good work ethic and sense of urgency in completing tasks/projects (driven)
Strong mechanical & electrical skills - ability to demonstrate.
PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic experienceDemonstrated ability to read equipment schematicsDemonstrated ability to identify defects and abnormalities and correct as necessaryBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Programming skills and line start up experience are a plusEducation andExperience:2 or 4 year degree in mechanical/electrical field or applicable experience.
