    POSITION SUMMARY: Join us as we prepare for another great summer season at The Salt Shed The Concessions Stand Supervisor is responsible for oversight of all employees working at our food concessions stands. You will be working closely with the Concessions Manager to ensure a smooth food service operation to our guests.



    Approximate dates of this position are between May 1 - October 31st, 2024.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervising all food concession stand crew during the event and troubleshooting where needed
    • Ensuring all food stands are set up and ready for events
    • Completion of regular inventory to ensure stands are well-stocked and maintained
    • Ensure POS devices are setup at each stand, verifying all are ready for sales prior to each event.
    • Maintain all appropriate health signage is displayed and that all health department protocols are followed
    • Provide on-the-spot coaching and training as needed for team members
    • Communicate with Food Prep Supervisor on stand inventory levels
    • Assisting with product transfers to accurately track products during events
    • Help maintain system of routine equipment maintenance and cleanliness
    • Overseeing service standards during events to ensure a high level of the guest experience
    • Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned as the role and food operation evolves

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • This is an hourly, seasonal position working May 1-October 31, 2024. Hours are based on events schedule.
    • State or County License or Certification Requirement (BASSET)/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
    • Must possess or acquire a CDPH Food Service Managers Sanitation Certificate
    • Previous Supervisory experience
    • Ability to work late hours
    • Flexible schedule
    • POS experience
    • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
    • Skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
    • Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
    • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
    • Flexible schedule - Must be available late nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    • Previous experience as a Concessions Supervisor or similar role


    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

    • Must have the ability/stamina to work long hours when required
    • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
    • Will frequently be seated at a computer and key in data
    • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
    • Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.

    EXPECTED HOURLY: $22/hr + Tips
