    Description


    The continuous improvement engineer will be responsible to planning, implementing, and leading the continuous improvement techniques using the Lean philosophy, actively contribute to the company goals, with a focus on the customer.


    Reporting Relationships:

    The corporate continuous improvement engineer will report directly to the corporate continuous improvement director. The corporate continuous improvement engineer will work closely with the plant directors, plant managers and plant management team.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Propose, coordinate and monitoring the effective implementation of the continuous improvement plan, assuring synchronizing with quality system.
    • Training and evaluate the lean tools implementation
    • Identify process improvement opportunities, creating an interrelation with the business needs.
    • Generate implementation status reports, plan compliment, implementation quality, KPI impact.
    • Lead Kaizen workshops focus on continuous improvement.
    • Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure the success of the projects.
    • Participate on systems audits
    • Inform to management results obtained on audits and develop actions plans.
    • Develop actions and activities to follow up continuous improvement permanently.
    • Document all the improvements and lesson learned.

    Education:


    • Bachelor's degree in business management or engineering discipline
    • Black belt certification or six sigma certification desire

    Professional Qualifications:


    The ideal candidate has experience of at least (2) two years as a Continuous improvement Engineer or similar title in a development capacity.

    The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge and experience working with some if not all the lean manufacturing methodologies, and six sigma knowledge.

    The individual must also have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in both Spanish and English language. and strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point). Previous experience in a research & development environment is admirable as well.
