    This role involves supervising the daily operations of the Landon Fitness Center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing all policies, promoting a positive experience, and maintaining a clean and organized facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote and enforce fitness room policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for users.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of equipment, including free weights, cardiovascular machines, and sectorized equipment.
    • Ensure routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment to prevent accidents and ensure optimal performance.
    • Provide exceptional customer service by being visible on the floor, answering questions, and offering assistance as needed.
    • Manage the front service desk, responding to phone calls, conducting ID checks, and distributing information and directions.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and program space, conducting set-up and breakdown as necessary for programs and reservations.
    • Deliver facility tours and provide general information to visitors.

    Requirements:

    • Must be a currently enrolled Barry University student, with preference given to juniors and seniors with relevant work experience.
    • Acknowledge the importance of clocking in and out accurately, using the provided time sheet at the front desk.
    • Hold accredited fitness/exercise certifications and First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

    Benefits:

    Compensation:

    The estimated annual salary for this position is $30,000-$40,000, commensurate with experience.
