    Job Summary:


    Principal faculty will report directly to the Program Director of the physician assistant program and must be team-oriented and possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Participates in the implementation and instruction of didactic year courses.
    • Serve as course director for assigned courses of the didactic year.
    • Provide evaluation and remediation/reassessment efforts.
    • Participates in laboratory and small group interactive sessions.
    • Participates in review of program mission statement and conveying the mission and vision of the program.
    • Participates in the organization, administration, continuous review, and analysis in the accreditation process of the physician assistant program for the ARC-PA.
    • Participates in evaluating the program's curriculum and administrative processes on a continuous basis.
    • Participates in the admissions process which consists of evaluation of applications, interviewing, and selection of students for incoming cohort.
    • Advises student academic and professional development.
    • Serves on committees such as the Student Progress Committee and Principal Faculty Committee.
    • Assume any other related duties necessary to develop and maintain an effective program
    • Maintain all licenses and certificates necessary for employment eligibility.
    Minimum Requirements


    • Master's degree at minimum in PA, MD or DO, pharmacology, or pathophysiology is required.
    • Current NCCPA Certification or certified by an ABMS or AOA approved specialty board.
    • Eligible for Missouri state licensure as a PA
    * - 5 years clinical experience (required) if PA, MD, or DO, teaching experience required if pharmacologist or pathophysiologist.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

    • Maintains an active physician assistant license
