    Job Description

    On Call Dispensing Nurse LPN/LVN

    BAART Program is seeking a meticulous and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to administer prescribed medications as part of a collaborative treatment team alongside Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The role also involves maintaining dispensing equipment, overseeing medication inventory, and documenting patient treatment details.

    An ideal dispensing nurse candidate collaborates effectively with counseling staff and exhibits a supportive and non-judgmental approach towards individuals dealing with Substance Use Disorder.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer daily medication following program guidelines and medical protocols
    • Operate automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pumps, and upkeep dispensing equipment
    • Maintain accurate records and reports per Company policy and Regulatory standards
    • Ensure adherence to security protocols for controlled substances distribution and storage
    • Manage medication orders, receipts, and stock in compliance with DEA and State regulations
    • Conduct regular patient assessments
    • Assist in training new nursing staff under Nursing Supervisor's guidance
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications:

    Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California. CPR certification is mandatory. Proficiency in EMR systems and computers is desirable.

    Preferred experience in chemical dependency treatment, self-motivated, positive attitude towards individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment. Clear drug screen and background check required.

    Salary Range:

    Competitive salary ranging between $26.00 and $28.00 per hour.

    The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors such as experience, education, specialization, and training.
