Summary:
The Talent Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in facilitating training and team-building workshops, both in person and virtually, aimed at fostering professional growth and promoting organizational culture. This role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for facilitating learning, collaboration, and development across the business. You will be responsible for partnering closely with key stakeholders to assess the development needs of your assigned client groups, ensuring that all employees receive equitable and impactful development support. In addition, you will collaborate with other Talent Development Specialists, Instructional Designers, Safety, and Technical Trainers to ensure that our talent development initiatives are aligned and integrated across the organization.
This role will be hybrid requiring 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.
Requirements:
- Facilitation: Deliver engaging training sessions and team building workshops, both in-person and virtually, to meet the learning and development needs of various teams across the business.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with People & Culture Business Partners and key stakeholders to better understand the development needs of your assigned client groups and to ensure that training initiatives align with business goals.
- Program Management: Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of talent development programs, ensuring they meet organizational objectives and are delivered effectively.
- Equitable Development Support: Collaborate with other Talent Development Specialists, Instructional Designers, HSQE, Construction, and Technician trainers to ensure the consistent delivery of equitable development support across the business.
- Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously refine and enhance training programs, ensuring that learning experiences are relevant, impactful, and aligned with business needs.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Safety:
- Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
Qualifications:
- Highschool/GED is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in training, learning and development, or related fields (e.g., ATD, ISPI, or similar) is preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience facilitating training and development programs for adult learners, especially in a corporate environment, including teambuilding workshops, both in-person and virtual is required.
- 3+ years of experience in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver learning and development solutions is required.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in program management, including the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate training initiatives is required.
- Experience in a Global or multi-cultural working environment is preferred.
- Ability to travel 5-15%.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, training design, and facilitation techniques.
- Knowledge of organizational development practices and the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in learning environments.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess learning gaps and translate them into effective training solutions.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
Anticipated base salary range: $76,000 - $95,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
