Description
The Behavioral Science Division at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is excited to announce an opening for a psychologist position with a primary focus in working with patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and outpatient Neonatal Developmental Follow-Up Clinics.
This position is full time with opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and includes a Clinical Faculty Appointment through University of Pittsburgh's Department of Pediatrics.

In the Neonatal Developmental Follow-up Clinics, psychologists and clinicians lead neurodevelopmental and behavioral assessments for high-risk neonates, infants, and toddlers born prematurely, with congenital anomalies, with prenatal substance exposure, or neurological concerns in the outpatient setting.
They also participate in a Multi-Disciplinary Neonatal Follow Up Clinic, emphasizing the collaboration with multidisciplinary providers including physicians, nursing, and ancillary therapies for delivery of standardized neurodevelopmental assessment and care.
You will be joining a passionate team, dedicated to offering comprehensive, infant mental health focused care for our youngest patients and their families.
Applicants must have assessment experience utilizing the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development along with other behavioral, social-emotional, and psychosocial screening tools to review the neurodevelopmental course of infants and guide intervention plans throughout early childhood.
This role also includes opportunities to conduct inpatient infant developmental and behavioral assessments, deliver familial mental health support, and provide consultation and psychoeducation for parents and staff on neurodevelopment and behavioral health needs for patients and families in the ICU setting.
Individuals who enjoy a fast-paced clinical setting are well suited to this position, and we welcome psychologists in all stages of their career to apply.
