    RN - Electrophysiology

    The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse functions independently as a member of the Heart & Vascular patient care team that includes registered nurses, Electrophysiology Cardiovascular Technologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians. This individual is responsible for helping to develop and implement systems to assure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. Duties include but are not limited to the patient assessment, administration of medications, moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating during EP procedures and other procedures scheduled in our invasive procedure labs. This individual is able to demonstrate clinical expertise in working with electrophysiology patients during invasive diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology, and device implantation procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • NY State Nursing License required
    • BSN from an accredited school of nursing required
    • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
    • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
    • Previous clinical experience preferred
    • Two years cardiac critical care nursing experience preferred
