Description

GFL Environmental is looking for a production technician to support our liquid waste processing facility.
Operation of distillation units
~ Operation of steam boilers
~ Operation of cooling tower
~ Responsible for wastewater facility, boiler water treatment/test
~ Monitor Air compressors and nitrogen generator
~ Operate 3 units under normal working conditions during a shift
~ Ensure product quality and consistency
~ mixing and sampling materials
~ Loading/unloading bulk tankers, filling drums and containers
~ Ensuring safe working practices and following all regulations, policies and procedures
~ Some overtime required
~ 4th class operating engineer license is an asset.

2-year Chemical Technologist diploma or equivalent experience.
~ Able to work 3 rotating shifts in an outdoor environment: Prior chemical, manufacturing, or production experience is an asset.
~ Planning and organizational skills
