    Cloudshape is experiencing rapid growth within our IT & Engineering Portfolio. We are currently seeking a talented Senior AWS Lead Engineer to join our growing team.

    This person will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing a secure, scalable, and highly available solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

    To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance is required.

    This is a funded position on a 10-year contract and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.


    Basic Qualifications:


    At least eight (8) years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of AWS cloud experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.

    Design, manage and deploy AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch while utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, to automate the deployment and management of infrastructure resources.

    US Citizen with an active secret security clearance.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Extensive experience in Implementing version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure code.
    Design and implement security architectures that align with government mandates, including micro-segmentation and zero trust frameworks.

    Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, proficient in using the AWS CLI, PowerShell, and Python, to identify and resolve issues in an AWS environment.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    What a new Cloudshape team member can expect starting out:


    During the first 30 days of employment onboarding activities to include training requirements, program overviews, system familiarization, and department-specific training will establish a solid foundation for the new Cloudshape team member.

    Introductions to management and team leads will provide insight into the team dynamics while identifying key areas where the new Cloudshape team member can provide value to the program.

    Day 30 through 90 will consist of further integrating the new Cloudshape team member into daily activities with a team lead to guide them.

    Tasks will be assigned in accordance with the appropriate pace needed to ensure process and system assimilation.

    Day 90 and onward will consist of mission-guided projects and opportunities for the new Cloudshape team member to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.

    From leading day-to-day activities in the operations department, this person will have the ability to invest in their future while delivering maximum value to our customer.
