Franklin County is seeking an Assistant County Manager to support operations optimize financial performance drive organizational excellence This position requires strong finance background exceptional problem-solving skills proven track record of process improvement within complex organizations The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership manage cross-departmental initiatives foster culture of efficiency accountability innovation Leadership Strategic Planning Collaborate with County Manager Board of Commissioners develop implement County Mission Vision Values Goals Lead special projects county-wide initiatives designed improve efficiency cost-effectiveness service delivery Serve key advisor County Manager policy development financial strategies organizational improvements Acts behalf County Manager absence assigned Financial Oversight Budget Management Provide financial analysis recommendations ensure fiscal responsibility long-term sustainability Assist preparing reviewing monitoring Countys operating capital budgets ensuring alignment strategic priorities Partner Finance Information Technology Department analyze expenditures identify cost-saving opportunities recommend data-driven decisions Support revenue forecasting Process Improvement Organizational Development Evaluate county processes workflows identify inefficiencies implement innovative solutions Lead performance management continuous improvement initiatives across departments enhance operational effectiveness Utilize data analytics measure program outcomes recommend actionable improvements Foster results-oriented culture collaboration accountability exemplary customer service Problem Solving Cross-Departmental Support Act liaison between Countys Office department directors assisting resolving operational challenges improving efficiency Provide guidance departments complex issues including budget constraints regulatory compliance resource allocation Manage sensitive situations requiring diplomacy discretion sound judgment Support emergency response planning crisis management coordination needed Education Experience Bachelor degree Public Administration Finance Business Administration related field required Masters degree preferred Minimum five years progressively responsible experience public administration business administration finance organizational leadership Demonstrated experience financial management strategic planning process improvement Knowledge Skills Abilities Strong background budgeting financial analysis fiscal policy Proven ability lead cross-functional teams adopted goals results Expertise developing implementing policies procedures operational improvements Excellent problem-solving critical-thinking skills ability manage multiple priorities fast-paced environment Exceptional written verbal communication skills including ability present complex information clearly effectively diverse audiences Ability establish maintain effective working relationships elected officials department heads employees community stakeholders
