    We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse - IV Therapy to join our wellness team at located in Kansas City, MO with a passion for collaboration and helping patients achieve their goals.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to provide safe and effective intravenous therapy to patients in an outpatient setting. The outpatient IV Therapy Nurse will work closely with our Physcian, as well as our Nurse Practitioners, and patients to administer intravenous fluids, and treatments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform thorough assessments of patients' health status and individual needs prior to initiating IV therapy.
    • Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all IV therapy procedures, including patient assessments, medication administration, and vital signs.
    • Monitor patients' response to IV therapy, assess for any adverse reactions, and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare provider.
    • Educate and provide clear instructions to patients and their families regarding IV therapy procedures, potential side effects, and proper care of IV sites.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and disposal of medical supplies, sharps, and hazardous materials.
    • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique during IV therapy procedures.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients receiving IV therapy.
    • Stay up to date with the latest advancements and evidence-based practices in IV therapy, attending continuing education programs and participating in professional development activities.
    • Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
    Requirements:
    • Valid nursing license, with a specialization in intravenous therapy or infusion therapy certification preferred.
    • Proven experience as an IV Therapy Nurse in an outpatient setting.
    • In-depth knowledge of IV therapy procedures, equipment, and medications.
    • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient computer skills for accurate documentation and record-keeping.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Flexibility to work with Nurse Practitioners and help with various needs throughout the day.
