    Joe W. Fly Co., Inc. is looking for Fabrication Technicians to join our growing team in Waco, TX.

    As a Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of machinery. We are looking for someone who is capable of properly running machinery and assembling material by hand.     Responsibilities

    • Fabricate filter holding frames and other materials related to the HVAC industry and our company's services.
    • Operate in-house equipment
    • Inspect, sort, and stage product
    • Prepare and load product for shipping
    • Complete logs and reports daily
    • Follow safety regulations and guidelines always when operating mechanical or computer-operated equipment

    Qualifications

    • Must at least have a high school diploma or GED
    • Legally eligible to work within the United States
    • Complete a 7-year background check with satisfactory results
    • Read, write, and speak English with strong communication and time-management skills
    • Possess basic math skills including converting fractions to decimals and reading and understanding angles
    • Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operation issues
    • Able to operate a forklift. Forklift certification a plus.
    • Requires use of tape measure and basic hand and power tools, such as drills, rivet guns, metal shears, etc.

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
    • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
