    Here's the Gist

    As a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer you will be responsible for developing device models for SiC MOSFETs and Diodes, power topology models, as well as developing workflows, mentoring other engineers, and supporting customer simulation needs.

    An ideal candidate would have deep technical expertise across a variety of power electronic circuit and system simulation platforms to support the diverse needs of our customers.

    This is both an internal and customer-facing role.
    The Day-to-Day
    Assist customer design engineers with simulations to successfully incorporate Wolfspeed Silicon
    Carbide power components in their products.
    Develop LTSpice device subcircuit models for SiC MOSFETs and diodes to accurately simulate dynamic behavior
    Expand and improve customer-facing design tools including the SpeedFit platform
    Develop process flows to streamline and automate model development
    Provide model development and customer support for a variety of simulation tools including LTSPICE, PSPICE, SiMETRIX/SIMPLIS, Keysight ADS, and PLECS
    Use modeling and simulation techniques to support product development activities
    This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)
    Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
    10+ years of experience in a power-electronics role with a modeling and simulation

    focus
    Understanding of power circuit topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC)
    Understanding of power semiconductor device physics and parasitic circuit elements
    Hands-on experience in a power electronics lab setting using test equipment to analyze switching
    Experience in developing detailed simulations for power electronics
    Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
    Willing to travel domestically and overseas – 5%
