Job summary
The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry.This position will perform the manufacturing engineering function to help drive new product introduction and continuous improvement. Develops and implements optimal cost-effective manufacturing processes methods in accordance with product specifications safety requirements quality standards Recommends improves processes methods controls product design Ensure safe working practices are designed into all processes Interacts all levels of organization team produce desired results
Key Responsibilities This position responsible support manufacturing operations process development improvement testing safety quality cost Coordinates Product Line Managers vendors customers Product Development engineering ensure customer satisfaction adherence BorgWarner World Class manufacturing standards Developing automated manual systems machine tending material handling assembly operations Generates RFQ specifications source new equipment custom tools Specifies executes machine purchases verification machine quality performance effect process Procures cost estimates proposals planned growth vetting suppliers quality capability reliability Reviews calculates labor material production costs schedules future production requirements assist management decision making Analyzes plans workflow equipment placement space requirements improve efficiency health safety environmental policies Coordinates equipment maintenance repair services manufacturer procedures instructions keep production equipment operational Supports launch activities attain key metrics OEE scrap Works cross functional group product design reviews launches continuous improvement cost activities Generate documents Process Flows FMEAs Control Plans Work Instructions Communicate global support teams lessons learned best practices Performs data analysis measure process performance troubleshooting identification improvement opportunities Utilizes project management tools flow charting mapping PFMEA timelines achieve optimal solutions collaborating Manufacturing Engineers assigned operations Advances technologically applies knowledge advise organization current industry trends equipment tooling gaging testing integration systems Maintains confidentiality privileged information Facilitates change process technical maintains project status reports scheduling Keeps work area orderly condition proper materials tools equipment personal belongings Includes cleaning equipment floors tables etc Interacts effectively all levels organization frequently participating leading cross functional teams Adheres appropriate effective set core values beliefs acts line those values Perform other duties requested assigned
