    Clearance:
    Top Secret (SCI Eligible)

    Salary:
    $140k-$170k

    Location:
    Washington, D.C. (Onsite)

    Job Summary:
    System Administrators are responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of an organization's computer systems. They ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and provide technical support to end-users. This role requires a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. While a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, equivalent experience is also considered. While certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory.


    Responsibilities:

    System Configuration and Maintenance:
    Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software patches. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

    Security Management:
    Implement security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other cyber threats. Conduct regular security audits and apply patches and updates as needed.

    User Support:

    Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up user accounts, and resolving connectivity problems.


    Backup and Recovery:
    Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data integrity and minimize downtime. Test backup systems regularly to ensure reliability.

    Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security.

    Automation and Optimization:
    Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline system administration processes. Implement automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency.

    Collaboration and Communication:
    Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support organizational goals and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

    Minimum of 7 years of experience in system administration or a related role.

    Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

    Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.

    Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

    Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.

    Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
