    Full Charge Bookeeeper - Sacramento, United States - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

    Description

    Responsibilities:

    - Full charge bookkeeper/office manager able to wear many hats for residential builder

    - Manages construction accounting duties, including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, check disbursements, invoicing, financial reporting, Quickbooks payroll , deposits, wire transfers and job costing.

    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Quickbooks

    - Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions for multiple entities

    - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements

    - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

    - Provide support during audits and assist in resolving any accounting discrepancies

    - Licensing and Insurance compliance and thorough understanding. Liaison between company and external agencies and accountants.

    - Releases of lien, NOC and NTO's

    - AIA Billing

    - Job cost reconciliations

    - Excel spreadsheets and project budget preparation

    - Contracts with clients and vendors

    - Answer phones and order supplies

    Experience:

    - Proven experience in construction accounting

    - Proficiency in QuickBooks and Payroll

    - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

    - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

    The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as knowledge of the construction industry, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Paid training will be offered.

    This person will be working directly with the principals of the firm and provide administrative support. It is also essential for this person to possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

    PAY DOE 70K to 75K
