    Summary:


    Participates in the ongoing evaluation, enhancement, development and modeling of employee benefit strategies, ensuring alignment with The MetroHealth System (MHS) organizational goals and financial objectives.

    Assists Director with analyzing and evaluating renewals, RFPs and plan design changes.

    Manages external consultant and service provider relationships, funding requirements, remittances, and premium payments for benefit plans and resolves issues with outside vendors related to invoicing and reconciliation of data.

    Analyzes and monitors the effectiveness of existing benefit plans and programs through ongoing data scrutiny and benchmarking. Researches and analyzes data utilized for the development and positioning of competitive and cost-efficient benefit programs. Tracks benefit expenses against benefits budget. Analyzes administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve administrative efficiency of employee benefit programs. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.

    Four years' progressive experience in administration of benefit programs, which includes analysis and plan design development.
    Experience working on medium to complex projects.
    Highly proficient with MS Office software, high aptitude for Excel and PowerPoint.
    Experience working with HRIS benefit administration applicationsMust possess strong critical thinking, analytical and written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
    Well organized and confident to work independently but is a strong team player.
    Excellent customer service orientation.
    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines and support department initiatives as needed.

    Preferred:
    Experience with Infor GHR HRIS System.
    Experience with a large healthcare hospital system (public system highly desirable).

    Physical Demands:
    May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
    May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
    Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
    Ability to read job related documents.
    Ability to use computer.
