- Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans
- Issue referral for the client to dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate
- Conduct work that is compliant with office policies and procedures; safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines; and infection and infectious diseases control standards
- Show patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as retainers and dentures and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene
- Recommend and perform preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
- Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral health issues, and develop treatment plans
- Conduct routine dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, fluoride treatment, and other diagnostic and preventative procedures
- Perform cosmetic dental procedures, including veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays, and dentures
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry and integrate them into practice
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Qualifications:
- Familiarity with computers
- Strong bedside manner and great communication skills are necessary
- Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
- CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required
- A minimum of two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required
Relevant Skills - In-depth knowledge of general dental procedures
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
- Experience with computerized charting and digital imaging systems
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates empathy and sensitivity towards patients
- Strong work ethic and professional behavior
Qualifications - DDS or DMD degree
- Current and valid state dental license
- Experience in cosmetic dentistry and clear aligner therapy is an asset
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required
- Familiarity with dental practice management software is an asset Compensation: $150,000 - $350,000 yearly
