- Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks is required
- Evaluate the performance of existing company Mechanics and of the company's equipment repair procedures
- Previous administrative experience working directly with, inventory control, parts and supply orders, and service and staff scheduling is required
- Responsible for inventory control & part orders; work with vendors to manage inventory & cost
- Build and maintain relationships with staff and upper management, working to improve the level of service by ensuring that organizational service and budget targets are met
- Travel with company mechanics to project location will be required at times
- Computer proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong two-way communication, leadership and team building skills are required
- Valid Driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record per company's insurance standards
- Salary based on experience
- Typically schedule Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm
- Travel to project sites will be required at times

Our Client, a well-established underground utility construction company, is seeking a professional, detail oriented, and organized individual to oversee all scheduling and production aspects of their busy equipment shop and the team of four+ mechanics.
_*The Mechanic / Equipment Manager's*_ _responsibilities will include: Administrative duties, assignment scheduling, equipment and maintenance tracking, mechanic supervision and evaluation of the equipment repair processes.
