    On-site position. Salary 70K annually.

    In this role, you will perform writing, editing, and graphics tasks required in the preparation of presentations, reports, technical white papers, websites, and other materials, as required.

    Our writers must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while becoming familiar with the required formats and standards. You should be versatile, enthusiastic, and ready to work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and possess exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills.

    Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Respond to RFQ/RFP requests utilizing Shipley's Proposal Writing guidelines
    • Responsible to write proposal responses to meet RFQ/RFP requirements
    • Develop a requirements matrix outlining individual RFQ/RFP requirements
    • Evaluate RFQ/RFP requirements to determine the format of the proposal
    • Responsible for the development of draft and final proposals from document creation proofreading to the final product
    • Manage proposals from the bid process to the final submittal
    • Work under tight schedule constraints and submit proposals to meet deadlines
    • Responsible to develop graphics, spreadsheets, and format documentation to create the final proposal
    • Responsible for editing/proofing documents
    • Print and assemble final products, prepare for shipping or delivery
    • Produce high-quality presentation material (i.e., PowerPoint briefings, infographics, etc.) that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
    • Collaborate across service lanes within the program to gain an in-depth understanding of the technologies, products or services, and the visual requirements
    • Ensures compliance of all assigned documents with their required presentation, correct use of paragraph headings and numbering, referencing of illustrative and tabular matter, and applicable bibliographic styles
    • Ensures consistency in the application of technical abbreviations and acronyms and customer technical specifications
    • Assists in the development of drafts and revisions for marketing collateral, websites, scripts, white papers, and other internal and external promotional and informational content
    • Recommends improvements for accuracy of expression, project or company style, clarity, consistency, and grammatical construction
    • Serves as part of a functional team or works independently to complete assignments according to scheduled deadlines

    Skills And Education Requirements:

    • Strong word processing skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
    • Outstanding written communication skills, writing, proofing, and editing skills
    • Work ethic that recognizes punctuality, initiative, and ownership of a project from beginning to end
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as a technical writer in a fast-paced, high-tech company
    • 2-4 years of related, full-time work experience, including proofreading and editing technical publications, websites, white papers, and proposals from rough draft through print ready
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Possess design layout skills with knowledge of graphic arts and computerized software
    • Working knowledge of MS Windows and related software including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop
    • Must be able to obtain, maintain, and/or currently possess a security clearance
