    Description

    Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator at Leading Healthcare Institution

    As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring streamlined access to care and quality service for our patients. Your responsibilities include:

    • Creating and scheduling appointments
    • Handling patient pre-registration and registration tasks
    • Verifying insurance information and coordinating benefits
    • Working closely with patients, providers, and the clinical team to coordinate surgical cases and procedures effectively

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Locating and scheduling procedures accurately in the Epic system
    2. Scheduling appointments with the correct providers and coordinating same-day appointments
    3. Communicating effectively with patients and providers to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination
    4. Providing high-level customer service to referring providers and patients
    5. Assisting with operational patient flow and problem-solving
    6. Maintaining current knowledge of health system policies and procedures

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
    • Experience: 3 years' experience in a clinical setting required
    • License/Certification: CHAA certification preferred

    Other Skills:

    • Proficient communication skills
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT coding
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office and Epic

    This position offers a competitive compensation of $27.92 per hour and the opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment.
