    Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description Do you enjoy working with the public? Are you a multi-tasker? Detail-oriented? Self-motivated? The Kentucky Personnel Board is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist III to complement our team. The Personnel Board adjudicates issues between Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) Chapter 18A employees/applicants and state agencies. An Administrative Specialist III is required to handle strict confidential data in a professional and ethical manner on a daily basis. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic and prior legal experience. Thisposition will utilize eMars Statewide Accounting and ProLaw Case Management to provide clerical support for staff, Board members, and Hearing Officers.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills on the telephone and in person
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working in a team environment
  • Brief duty description, including but not limited to:
  • Creating files, including processing and/or proofreading legal documents for staff attorneys
  • Maintaining, organizing, and archiving files according to Board policies
  • Oversight of inventory, including ordering supplies
  • Ability to work well without close supervision
  • Working with personal and confidential information
  • Additional Information:
    This position requires using various computer programs and sitting at a desk forextended periods of time.

    EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
    Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
    Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
