- PerformAdvanced Mammography Exams: Expertly conduct all required mammographyradiographic exams, ensuring strict compliance with all radiation safetyprotocols. This includes patient preparation, procedure explanation,administering contrast (when necessary), precise patient positioning,selecting optimal imaging techniques, and ensuring the highest technicalquality of all images.
- EquipmentQuality & Accreditation: Execute and document quality assurance(QA) checks on mammography equipment. You will also assist with initialand renewal applications for ACR and other key accreditations.
- PatientData Management: Accurately enter and monitor essential patient data.
- Safety& Reporting: Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, andvisitors, promptly identifying and reporting any accidents, complaints, orequipment malfunctions to management.
- On-CallService: Participate in the department's emergency call rotation.
- ProfessionalGrowth & Mentorship: Actively pursue continuing education andskills competency. Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource toless experienced technologists, supporting departmental and organizationalgoals.
- RequiredEducation: Graduate of an accredited school of RadiologicTechnology AND an approved program of Mammography Technology.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Certifiedin Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ACLS).
- Currentor Temporary Texas Medical Board (TMB) License (MRT).
- RegisteredMammography Technologist (ARRT-M).
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of prior experience as a Mammography Technologist is required.
- PhysicalAbility: Ability to safely lift and/or maneuver patients inconjunction with others to perform job functions.
