    Job Description

    The Associate Marketing Director, US Eye Care, Ocular Surface Disease will partner with sales and broader AbbVie stakeholders (Finance, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, MABI, and Agency) to support business needs.

    They will derive findings and implications from multiple data platforms to strengthen commercial understanding of brand performance, marketplace dynamics and growth opportunities.

    This role requires strong collaboration within the US Eye Care organization and broader AbbVie stakeholders along with strong communication skills (oral & written) with the ability to make persuasive presentations to customers, sales teams, partners, and senior leadership.

    The Associate Marketing Director, US Eye Care, Ocular Surface Disease will work with their Marketing and Cross-Functional counterparts across the Eye Care team to support the development and execution of Launch Readiness & Annual Marketing Plans and will coordinate the successful implementation of tactics that support growth for assigned product(s) within the Ocular Surface Disease market.

    The Associate Marketing Director, US Eye Care, Ocular Surface Disease – Contributes to the planning and sequencing of tasks, activities, and objectives critical to potential product launches.

    The Associate Marketing Director will collaborate with stakeholders across the Integrated Brand Team (IBT), Marketing, Medical, MABI, HEOR, and Payer Marketing, and to ensure workstreams remain aligned and that project / task deadlines are met.

    Responsibilities
    Actively contribute to the development of Launch and Brand strategies through the Launch Readiness and Brand Planning processes
    Participate on cross-functional teams and participate in development of strategic brand plans.
    Effectively communicate results of analytic and market research workstreams to influence action
    Partner with the Marketing Analytics & Business Insights team to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and then formulating recommendations for optimization
    Support the management of the Ocular Surface Disease marketing budget while identifying efficiencies/synergies where possible to maximize resources.
    Develop effective working relationships with salesforce, brand teams and executive leadership. Stay abreast of industry trends in Ocular Surface Disease, Anterior Segment and Eyecare.
    Conduct routine field travel with the sales force to better understand market drivers and dynamics
    Creation of marketing materials and navigating them through the internal review/approval process
    Manage external third- party vendors and meet all related internal procurement and compliance requirements
    Maintain a deep understanding of competitors, product ranges and promotional activities
    Lead the tactical design and implementation of Marketing initiatives to include:

    Innovative tactics for the U.S. market
    Multi-channel opportunities to strengthen campaigns
    Resources for Physicians and Patients
    Materials for conferences
    Sales training pieces and initiatives
    Internal campaigns and meetings
    Ad boards and market research

    Qualifications
    Bachelors degree in related field, MBA preferred
    5+ years of specialty sales/marketing experience required
    Previous sales/marketing experience with strong performance record
    Experience in product launches
    Experience in the strategic brand planning process
    Comprehensive Knowledge of the health care and pharmaceutical industry
    Strong understanding of Commercial Insurance and Medicare Part D
