Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to perform a variety of accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established accounting standards.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
