- Engineer will ensure oversight of guidelines, policies, practices, standards and regulations relating to transmission designs
- Perform engineering and economic analysis of miscellaneous transmission related projects.
- Survey and inspect routes for lines
- Compile and write technical reports
- Supervise & coordinate projects and oversee contract and company construction crews
- Perform computer related functions such as engineering analysis, detail design, drawings, spreadsheets and database compilations
- Respond to customers' needs by performing field investigations and estimate
- Perform and ensure cost estimates meet company standards and current tariffs
- Assist to develop project specific capital and expense budgets
- Job time is spent in office and field environment with exposure to all field hazards and weather
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 35 pounds required
- Travel up to 20% and extended hours will be required

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- E or ability to obtain P.E. desired
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Must possess strong computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Experience in electric transmission, substation, or distribution engineering and construction preferred
- Experience with SAP, PLS-CADD, GIS systems and survey techniques desired
- Knowledge in Project Management principles and fundamentals desired
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks and demands
- Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

About this position:
The Electric Transmission Line Engineer provides engineering support & engineering design for transmission line expansion projects, rebuilds, relocations and new build projects across the company's service territory.
The engineer will perform effective design, budgeting, and execution of various projects and initiatives and coordinate with other functional groups to meet expected outcomes and strategic direction for company transmission projects.
