    Job Summary:
    Respite Care Atlanta (RCA) seeks a motivated Development & Admin Manager to support its operations and fundraising efforts. This full-time position will report to the Executive Director.

    Overall Description:


    The Development & Admin Manager will assist and support the Executive Director with fundraising, as well as oversee the donor database and volunteer onboarding duties.

    Monday – Friday

    PLEASE NOTE the start date for this position is August 1, 2024.


    Responsibilities:
    Data & Donor Management

    Ensure the integrity of our donor data, utilizing best-in-class management practices.

    Manage all aspects of data entry, data clean-up, and data projects.


    Manage the preparation and distribution of acknowledgment letters to donors, including one-time donations, recurring contributions, and donations for targeted fundraising campaigns.

    Accurately record all donations in the database, including online donations and mailed checks.

    Maintain donor database for accuracy, ensuring up-to-date contact information.

    Grant Writing/Foundation Relations

    Research funding opportunities with foundations, governmental agencies, corporate, and community-based funding organizations.

    Support the executive director and Board of Directors in their search for funding opportunities.


    Assist the Executive Director with grant proposals, letters of interest/inquiry, grant applications, and related materials for proposal submissions that align with Respite Care Atlanta's mission and programming.

    Maintain grant record-keeping and correspondence.

    Prepare and submit applications and reports per funder requirements and deadlines.

    Monitor application and reporting timelines and communicate them to ensure we meet funder deadlines and requirements.

    Volunteer Relations

    Manage all tasks related to volunteer orientation and onboarding, which includes:

    Handle onboarding process for volunteers, including background check, communicating next steps, how to use Sign-Up Genius.

    Upload and maintain new volunteer information in database (LGL).

    Track volunteer onboarding numbers for reporting purposes.

    Research other sources/opportunities for volunteer recruitment.

    General Support

    Provide admin support to the Executive Director and Program Manager.

    Prepare and execute large mailings.

    Oversee the organization's Gmail account.

    Assist with social media and newsletter communications.

    Other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    A Bachelor's degree in a related field.

    Proven experience in non-profit development with knowledge and understanding of fundraising fundamentals required.

    Preferred three years of development experience, including a combination of grant writing, donor recruitment, and donor management.

    Familiarity with the metro Atlanta philanthropic community and funding sources for non-profits.

    Enthusiasm and passion for working with older adults.

    Superior verbal and written communication skills.

    Confidence in working independently and taking the initiative to produce quality and efficient work.

    Excellent organizational skills, handling multiple demands, and maintaining deadlines.

    Ability and passion for building relationships.


    Aptitude for data management and technology systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Suite, MailChimp, social media platforms, and donor management software (Little Green Light a big plus).
