Description
Provides primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition.
Requires knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice; organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care; medical equipment and instruments used to provide patient care; and common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Requires skill to identify problems and recommend solutions; prepares and maintains accurate records; develop and maintains quality assurance; and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with physicians, patients, office staff, and the public.
