- Medical management of clients, including but not limited to, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as part of gender affirming care.
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management.
- Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
- Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions specific to the diagnosis in adherence to medical standards.
- Prescribe medications based on efficacy, safety and cost as legally authorized.
- Educate patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances.
- Refer patients to physicians, psychologists, chemical dependency counselors, mental health providers, or other professionals as needed.

JOB OVERVIEW - This position is responsible for treating and prescribing care to patients as referred.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care and collaborates as a provider and member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure the clinical needs of the inmate population are met.
