Job Summary

The Habitat Specialist will provide technical skills for their fellow habitat specialist crew members
and agency partners to positively impact wildlife habitat by restoring
and managing grasslands wetlands
and forests on publicly owned lands throughout the country.

• Habitat Specialist I: Implement habitat management work on cooperating private landowners
  public lands edge feathering herbicide application burn line construction prescribed burning invasive/exotic plant control native grass/forb establishment shrubby cover establishment.
• Habitat Specialist II: Implement habitat management work on public lands herbicide application burn line construction prescribed burning invasive/exotic plant control native grass/forb establishment shrubby cover establishment assist crew lead procure supplies equipment following best practices procurement policies.
• Habitat Specialist III: Implement habitat management work on public lands co-lead procurement supplies equipment following best practices procurement policies co-lead construction maintenance repair facilities equipment implements used during work supervise invoicing implementation planning prioritize work schedule for crew perform other related duties assigned.
