    Title: Director of Data Strategy

    Client: Food/Beverage Manufacturer / Distributor

    Compensation: $160,000-$200,000 + Bonus

    Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Lead the design and deployment of data infrastructure, including data warehouses, analytics platforms, and reporting tools.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities where data can provide insights and solutions.
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
    • Drive data governance initiatives to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of our data assets.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics.
    • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Partner with senior leadership to communicate the value of data-driven decision-making and secure buy-in for strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to leverage external data sources and expertise.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the progress and impact of data initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in data strategy, analytics, or related roles, preferably in the beverage or consumer goods industry.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
    • Expertise in data management, including data modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights.
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for leveraging data to drive business success.
    • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies is a plus.
