    As the Manager of the Social Media team your focus will be on two strategic pillars:
    Social Media and Content.

    You will bring a deep understanding of how to use organic social media, both proactive & reactive, to drive brand engagement and to create a social presence that stands out from the crowd.

    You also will bring proven experience creating innovative content that educates, informs, and delights through a variety of mediums.

    In this role, you'll report to the Director of Brand & Content Marketing and be the people leader for an amazing team of brand reputation and social engagement specialists.

    This team is responsible for creating, delivering, and monitoring content across owned & earned social platforms, including rating & review sites, to engage, educate, respond to, and support our current and future pet-loving members and the veterinary community.

    You'll work closely with leaders from Digital & Direct, Customer, Veterinary, Breeder, and PR/corporate communications to build and maintain a strong voice for Trupanion brand awareness, engagement, and influence.

    The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is a creative storyteller, data-fluent, and highly collaborative and who thrives in a fast-moving, fast-growing environment.

    This position is a hybrid role open to candidates in the Seattle area, working at least three days out of our casual and pet friendly Seattle office per week.


    What You Will Do:


    Manage an always-evolving organic social strategy that translates into an editorial calendar of campaigns & activations that appeal to several audiences, including pet parents and the veterinary communityBring to life brand messages and pet-focused content aligned with business objectives in creative yet measurable waysLead a team responsible for daily social communications on a variety of topics, including product & service features, general pet health & insurance education, customer support, and overall brand engagementSet performance goals and manage reporting cadences for reach, engagement, and other KPIs that include actionable insights that inform other areas of MarketingKnow and advocate for our audiences to ensure our content strategy serves both company and audience needsHands-on creative development for compelling stories about pet insurance and the power of Trupanion pet insurance for pets, owners, and veterinary communitiesExtend our brand visibility, consistency, voice, and leadership across various social media platforms and conversationsCollaborate with Paid and other Marketing teams to develop a full 360 view editorial calendar, create content, support our partnerships, and execute day-to-day management of campaignsActively monitor the competition as well as the ever-changing landscape of social platforms and trends to identify opportunities, gather insights, and forecast what's nextHire, coach, and develop a team that supports a rapidly growing and changing businessQualifications:6-8 years of social media management experience with proven results for growing an audience through strong branded storytelling and strategic initiativesProved experience setting and hitting key social KPIs and demonstrating larger business value of social program3+ years as a people managerExcellent copywriting and communication skills, with history on hands-on content creationProficient in using social media posting and monitoring tools; ideally previous experience with SprinklrConfident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
