    Role Summary

    The Office Assistant will serve as the initial point of contact for visitors coming to the Highland Ventures Brentwood, TN office. In addition, the candidate will support multiple departments and ensure the office operates efficiently.

    Essential Functions

    1. Greet all visitors as they come into the office and create an inviting environment, offer water or coffee, etc.
    2. Process daily mail, shipments going out and coming into the office.
    3. Order and stock office supplies and other items as needed
    4. Maintain all office equipment - copiers, postage meter, and order repairs when necessary
    5. Assist with planning meetings and office events
    6. Support all areas of the business including human resources, property management, marketing, etc.
    7. Assist leadership with reporting, presentations, written correspondence, and other special projects as needed
    8. Maintain the office and gym to ensure the best presentation.
    9. Other duties as assigned

    Work environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

    Position type and expected hours of work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30/9:00 a.m. to 5:30/ 6 p.m. The home office is located in Brentwood, TN and team members are required to work in the office 5 days per week.

    Required education and experience

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
    • Organizational skills with high attention to detail
    • Familiarity with software programs used in this job preferred (i.e. Google Suite and Excel)
