    3 x 12-hour shifts/week (Night: 19:00–07:30 or Mid: 15:00–03:30); 36 hours/week — travel RN night shift


    Schedule:
    Includes weekend and holiday rotations


    Setting:
    Level I Trauma Center, Academic Medical Center; Magnet-designated hospital, ranked #1 in Wisconsin


    Orientation:
    20 hours


    Parking:
    Permit required; alternative transportation options available

    Qualifications / Job Requirements

    Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license required (must be in hand at submission)

    Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience (adult and pediatric) within the last 3 years

    Prior travel nursing experience required — travel nurse / travel RN experience

    Experience in an Academic Level I Trauma Center or comparable large hospital required — trauma nurse experience preferred

    Epic EMR / Epic charting experience preferred (within last 12 months is ideal)

    Required certifications:
    BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association only), and TNCC

    Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills; must pass telemetry exam prior to start

    Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

    Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required

    Responsibilities — Emergency Department RN /
    ER RN

    Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED environment

    Perform rapid assessments, triage, and interventions for a wide range of acute and emergent conditions

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including subspecialists, ground/air transport, and support services

    Manage and monitor patients requiring advanced interventions: cardiac catheterization, trauma resuscitation, stroke care, burns, ECMO/ECPR, and more

    Administer medications, blood products, and emergency treatments per protocol

    Interpret and manage telemetry and EKGs; respond to critical arrhythmias and codes

    Float to other units or locations within the organization as needed

    Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR and adhere to hospital policies

    Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations
