Experienced Cinematic Horror Movie Poster Designer Needed

Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled graphic designer to create a visually striking cinematic horror movie poster and promotional thumbnail artwork for an upcoming independent film project.
This is a fixed price project with a defined budget, and we are looking for someone with strong experience in professional poster design, especially within the movie or entertainment industry.
Project Overview:
We need a designer who can develop original artwork that captures a dark, immersive horror cinematic style while maintaining high-impact visual composition suitable for both print and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Create a compelling, highresolution movie poster
- Design additional scaled versions for marketing and thumbnail use
- Apply advanced graphic design techniques to achieve a dramatic cinematic visual style
- Prepare files optimized for print production and online distribution
- Deliver layered source files from Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator
- Collaborate with our team to refine concept, layout, typography, and mood
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience designing film or movie posters
- Strong portfolio showcasing horror, cinematic, or dramatic artwork
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
- Ability to create realistic lighting, typography effects, and atmospheric compositions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within brand/style direction
- Professional communication and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in entertainment, streaming, or media visual design
- Experience preparing files for commercial print
- Understanding of genrespecific poster style trends in horror cinema
