    ~ Initiates and participates in multi-disciplinary care planning, interventions, and evaluations. Performs assessments and conducts preoperative interview of same day surgery patients. Prepares outpatients for surgery. Keeps accurate and complete Operating Room records. Reports malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner. Transports equipment to maintain equipment integrity. Anticipate needs for next day cases (i.e. arrival times, instrumentation, meds, discharges, follow up care)13. Provides immediate nursing care to post-operative patients. Provides safe transportation of patients to Nursing Unit. Discharges patients to Nursing Unit or to home. Is responsible for accurate documentation and maintenance of complete medical record. Works well in a team atmosphere and incorporates a professional attitude in his/her performance. Assess data reflective of patient's status; interprets appropriate information needed to identify patients' requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, based on units Policy and Procedures. Provide interventions based on age-specific criteria and departmental patient-care standards. Maintains stock, supplies, and drugs at PAR levels. Minimum Education Associates Degree - Required Bachelors Degree - Preferred KY Nursing License or equivalent Kentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure required
    Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
