    Description

    Lamjen, Inc currently has openings for CNC Lathe Machinists on 1st and 2nd shifts.

    • Create setups using various chuck jaws, hardware, and fixturing to meet production needs.
    • Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to ensure precise tolerances.
    • Conduct in-process inspections at the machine, making necessary adjustments to offsets for compliance with specifications.
    • Position and secure workpieces on machines utilizing measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes for optimal setup.
    • Analyze blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work orders to determine required tolerances and work procedures.
    • Exhibit a strong knowledge of general machining practices to facilitate efficient production.
    • Recognize various tooling types and procedures for machining jobs requiring close tolerances.

    Requirements:

    • Proficient in interpreting documents, blueprints, and basic GD&T as well as G-Code commands.
    • Familiarity with mathematical concepts including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, and basic trigonometry.
    • Strong understanding of CNC controls and G-Code programming.
    • Capability to adjust/set tool lengths, work offsets, and make program adjustments as needed.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC operation, ideally accompanied by relevant schooling.
    • Crane operation experience required.
