    Description

    The Wash Tech II is an advanced wash tech who aspires to be part of the maintenance team. The Wash Tech II is responsible for performing highly diversified duties at the wash site as maintenance-minded Car Wash Team Member and in partnership with the General Manager and the Maintenance team. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, engaged, motivated, and committed to excellence in customer service, wash quality, and maintaining safe and efficient wash operations. This position reports directly to the General Manager and collaborates with the Maintenance Manager as directed.

    General Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain wash cleanliness and proactively monitor wash site equipment and wash quality
    • Troubleshooting/repairing/Assisting in plumbing, general building, equipment, and site maintenance
    • Perform daily maintenance procedures to include detergent transfers and volumetrics
    • Hourly walkthroughs to help maintain a consistent and high-quality wash for our valued guests
    • Assist guests by directing them on how to self-load using our safe loading procedure
    • Ensure that guest vacuum parking lot is clean and clear of any litter, as well as empty the trash and vacuum canisters frequently for the ultimate guest experience
    • Restock all detail kits and vending machines for guest purchase
    • Proactively keep an eye on the pulse of the wash to ensure the safety of guests, other TXH team members, and yourself as to prevent accidents before, during, and after the wash
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager (GM) or Manager on Duty (MOD)
    • Greet our guests whether in the pay lane, entering the wash, or at our vacuum parking lot and answer any questions they may have
    Examples of General Building, Tunnel, Equipment, Site Maintenance:
    • Painting, patching and general building repairs.
    • Maintaining and replacing bearings, pumps, and blowers
    • Replacing, cleaning drain lines, valves, injectors, air and water lines, hoses, injectors
    • Lights and signage replacement, repair, or cleaning
    • Proactively maintains and cleans mat washers, belts, drive chains
    • Replaces RO Unit filters and gauges
    • Proactively monitors and replaces/replenishes hydraulic fluids, salt, detergents
    • Inspects, greases, replaces, repairs shocks, nozzles, rollers, belts, drive chain, rocker brushes
    • Follows Site Maintenance and audit checklist
    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Employee is exposed to hot, cold, and fluctuation temperatures and working conditions. Ability to read, communicate effectively in written and spoken. Able to hear normal tones and volumes. Requires driving, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Must frequently lift and/or move items over 100 pounds.

    Benefits and Compensation:
    • 35+ Hours Per Week, non-exempt, Flex schedule determined by GM and based on site need.
    • Evening and weekend hours will be required

    • Experience: Car Wash Maintenance (1 year Preferred)
    • License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (Required)
    • Ability to work flexible hours and be on call after business hours.
    • Starting at $17.00 per hour
    Requirements

    Basic Requirements and Competencies:
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Technology and mechanically inclined with basic mechanical and plumbing knowledge
    • Completion of high school or trade school.
    • Ability to work well as a part of a team
      •Good "situational awareness", to be able to recognize a problem before it happens
    • Eagerness to learn new things
    • Ability to take direction and carry out verbal and written instructions
    • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with superiors, co-workers, and customers
    • Must be able to work safely in a variety of conditions.
    • Adheres to all safety guidelines, regulations, and utilizes PPE required by law and by policy.
    • Ability to problem solve challenges and shift priorities quickly.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
    • Ability to use a computer, tablet, smart phone, software, and the internet.

    Salary Description
