Whether you work in our Charlotte plant to build life-saving stop arms for school buses, or design advanced camera vision products in our Vancouver office, forge valves and high-quality nozzles to fight fires, or dream up new ways to protect fleet operators in our Corporate HQ in Kansas City, youll contribute to our goal to keep everyone safe.

Compensation is base salary. We also offer Paid Time Off, Health & Dental Benefits Package, Life Insurance & 401K Savings Plan).

As our **Buyer/Planner**, you will be responsible for a wide variety of functions critical to the continued success and effectiveness of business; you will manage supply chain, vendor, purchase order, and establish optimal delivery practice and will also be responsible for negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier performance measurement activity.

**You will**

Manage and continuously review MRP to ensure accuracy and data consistently meets the requirements of the business

Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements

Establish and maintain effective relationships with the company suppliers in accordance with the ethical code and standards of conduct maintaining the highest standard of professionalism

Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions

Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required

Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems

Authorize payment for purchases by reviewing invoices and related documentation

Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals as set by management

Maintain accuracy of stock code information within Expandable, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.

Review forecast models, analyze trends, manage forecast tools, and maintain accurate data

Assist in assessing the effectiveness of the demand planning & forecasting function, and to work towards continuous improvement

Confer with management on demand planning and forecasting assumptions, analysis, and decisions

Participate in NPI and EOL planning processes

**You should have**

At least 3 years experience in manufacturing sourcing/supply chain management/production planning

Advanced knowledge in ERP system

Proficiency in Microsoft Office product, e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Visio is desirable

Excellent skills in creating pivot table report

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members

Ability to analyze situation and react quickly

Familiarity with Windows Operating System is desirable
