Job summary
The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) works under physician direction and under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager.The CRT is a professional who works within the limits of their license and credentials adhering to institutional policies procedures standards.
The CRT must provide quality patient care promote healthy work environment project positive image UAMS Medical Center.
This posting will be used fill multiple positions.
Candidates selected will perform routine respiratory care procedures including updrafts metered dose inhalers chest physiotherapy arterial blood gases incentive spirometry intrapulmonary percussive ventilation patient education mechanical ventilator setup management assist codes rapid responses enter patient treatment notes e-chart system place documentation patient charts call equipment medical supplies assigned work areas employees role fitted capable donning performing tasks personal protective equipment N95 masks Powered Air Purifying Respirators Controlled Air Purifying Respirators required fit tested annually maintain certification current licensure CPR ACLS BLS certifications push pull weight 100+ lbs use hands touch handle feel frequently talk frequently hear continuously taste smell occasionally read concentrate think analytically continuously physical environment inside medical facility moderate noise level moderate visual requirements color discrimination depth perception far visual acuity near visual acuity hazards biological chemical dust electrical fumes gases odors radiation sharp objects/tools
