- Design engineering drawings for permitting, estimating, and construction.
- Conduct studies on coordination, grounding, lightning, arc flash, and short circuit.
- Coordinate electrical designs with utilities, vendors, and suppliers.
- Develop electrical protection systems and work with various test equipment.
- Participate in HAZOP and design review studies.
- Support operations with safety systems, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Interact with various engineering disciplines and departments.
- Develop knowledge of ISA, NFPA, UL, safety codes, and fire codes.
- Prepare specifications and technical reports.
- Commit to improving and promoting quality in all work.
- Willingness to travel 20-25% annually.
- Journeyman Electrician, Power System Designer with 4 years of experience, or a 4-year degree in electrical engineering.
- Exceptional organizational skills and deadline adherence.
- Experience in setting up, programming, and overseeing electrical equipment testing.
- Basic AutoCAD skills for developing electrical system drawings.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical power system design.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Experience with PLC control systems, relay coordination, and arc flash analysis.
- Familiarity with facility UPS systems, generator design, NETA Testing.
- Proficiency with specific electrical protection products and software.
