- Responsible for day-to-day operation of the Financial Aid Office.
- Responsible for providing other office assistance as needed.
- Responsible for communicating with Common Origination & Disbursement (COD) in the processing of federal student loans.
- Responsible for processing federal Title IV program certifications, payment scheduling, loan application and loan counseling
- Responsible for processing private student loans.
- Counsel students/parents regarding scholarship and financial aid.
- Maintain an on-going understanding of computer programs necessary for the initiation of financial aid counseling and information dissemination.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of state, federal and institutional regulations.
- Maintain a complete understanding of the scholarship process as it relates to federal and state financial aid.
- Participate in appropriate professional organizations.
- Represent Benedictine College in a respectable and professional manner.
- Serve on both internal and external committees as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and Colleague.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to interact in an effective and professional manner with diverse populations within the College community and the public.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the administration and supervision of all scholarship programs and directing the daily activities of the processing and verification areas.
