    JOB SUMMARY:
    Responsible for nightly cleaning of kitchen, bakery and hallways to the cafeteria and receiving area.


    REPORTS TO:
    PM Supervisor

    PRIMARY DUTIES &


    FUNCTIONS:

    Through cleaning of all assigned areas, flowing established practices and standards, and completing the checklists of daily, weekly and biweekly tasks for this position.


    Some of these tasks include:

    • Emptying all trash in the kitchen, bakery areas.
    • Sweeping off mats, pick them up, replace as necessary according to guidelines.
    • Pick up mats and clean floors and mats
    • Clean steam table pits, outside and under.
    • Wiping down all ranges and stoves.
    • Decarbonize burners as needed
    • Emptying fryer grease as directed by Chef's Crew
    • Sweeping and mopping entire kitchen floor
    • Rechecking area for quality of work performed - complete checklist as task is completed
    Requirements


    SKILLS REQUIRED:
    Ability to clean thoroughly, recognize and report any hazards.


    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.


    PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
    None required - will train.


    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
    After training, knowledge safe working practices with equipment used. Proper application of chemicals with this position.


    PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS:
    Must be trustworthy and reliable, self-motivated, able to work productively alone.


    RESPONSIBLE FOR:
    Kitchen and Steward keys.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    Must be able to work actively alone, unsupervised for the entire shift. Position requires walking, bending, stretching and lifting. Must be able to lift 75 pounds safely.


    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Work takes place in the kitchen, bakery and cafeteria areas. Greasy, wet floors, broken glassware or china, hot pans or utensils may be incurred while performing tasks assigned.


    HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED:
    Safety and caution must be applied with this type of physical activity. Slippery walking surfaces may occur when using some chemicals or cleaning agents. Hazard may occur if chemicals are ingested, inhaled, or if contact with skin or eyes.
