- Must be a High school graduate or equivalent (Required)
- Must have a Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
- Must have Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Must have current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must have 2-3 years in a Surgical Technologist role.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- The salary for this position is $76,960 - $81,120 / yr

- The successful candidate under the direction of the RN, plans the delivery of safe, therapeutic, age-specific care. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes.
- Provides the surgical team with the necessary instruments, sutures, special equipment, and materials needed to perform surgery while maintaining a strict aseptic technique. Assists in circulating and obtaining instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary while the surgical procedure is in progress. Participates in unit/departmental/institutional performance improvement activities that impact patient and service outcomes.
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and the scrub tech role in performing these procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its use in the surgical environment Demonstrates knowledge of surgical scrub technician duties before, during, and after the surgical case
- Assembles supplies, equipment, instruments, and all necessary items for scheduled surgical procedures in accordance with physician's preference cards.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, center/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
- Correctly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed.
- Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in the operating room for immediate access during the procedure as well as storing and stocking supplies as directed
