    Job Summary/Basic Function
    About This Role:

    Performs advanced (senior-level) financial analysis and regulatory work. Work involves administering financial processes and systems; creating financial models using data visualization tools; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and advising senior management appropriate action to resolve financial and regulatory problems. Work will also include supporting revenue-generating services to promote collaboration, transparency, optimizing financial agreements, and forecasting financial outcomes to new business proposals or contract amendments that support university goals. May supervise the work of others. Works under supervision of the Director of Budget and Financial Planning, with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

    What You'll Do – Position Responsibilities

    Coordinates the development, analysis, and review of financial data and applicable business, financial, and/or regulatory plans. Including the development and continuous oversight of the university's annual operating budget.
    Coordinate, oversee, analyze, and reconciles third-party financial reviews, including the accumulation of data, financial modeling, reporting, and monitoring of response including University business partners or vendors.
    Administers university financial processes, data modeling, and the financial systems developed to facilitate financial literacy, forecast future performance, or report to regulated entities.
    Serve as financial liaison for university business partners and university constituents to facilitate transparency, communication, and compliance.
    Communicate and assist in training University constituents with budgetary principles and business operation procedures.
    Ensures compliance with established procedures, requirements, laws, and regulations; completeness of data; and presence of adequate documentation.

    Key Competencies:

    Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and make recommendations based on findings.
    Knowledge of financial analysis and examination procedures for regulated entities.
    Ability to develop, report, and communicate business performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management, including external regulatory bodies.
    Strong interpersonal communication skills to develop working relationships with university constituents and service partners.
    Ability to leverage data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from financial data and present findings in a clear and concise manner using visualization tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
    Knowledge or experience with ERP data repository systems, such as SAP, Banner, Workday, etc.

    Physical Requirements:

    Current driver's license and ability to travel.
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor's or master's (MBA) degree required with a focus in Finance, Accounting, General Business, or related fields.
    2+ years of experience in financial or business analysis.
