Part-Time Pet Care & Customer Service Associate
Buzz n' B's Aquarium & Pet Shop – Erie, PA
Buzz n' B's is growing and building a stronger, cross-trained team.
We are hiring a part-time team member whose primary focus will be pet care - with additional responsibility supporting customers on the sales floor.
This role is hands-on, physical, and detail-oriented. It is ideal for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly and wants to be part of a professional pet care team.
What This Position Involves:
Animal Care (Primary Focus)
- Cleaning and maintaining bird cages, reptile habitats, as well as small animal enclosures
- Feeding and monitoring reptiles, birds, and small animals
- Observing animal health and reporting concerns
- Following structured care protocols
Customer Service (Secondary but Important)
- Assisting customers with product selection
- Educating pet owners responsibly
- Maintaining a clean, organized sales floor
- Supporting teammates during busy periods
What We're Looking For
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Comfortable learning to handle reptiles and small animals
- Able to perform physical tasks (lifting, scrubbing, standing)
- Confident and professional with customers
- Reliable availability
- 18+ preferred due to store's hours conflicting with school
This is not a "play with pets" position. It is real animal husbandry and retail work that requires consistency, accountability, and attention to detail.
