    This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, advanced imaging support, certification incentives, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

    Position OverviewDirect hire, full-time positionDay shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PMOutpatient imaging environmentCertification incentive eligibleCoverage rotation to other outpatient offsites as neededCompensation & IncentivesAnnual salary range: $97,757.45 – $143,059.47$10,000 sign-on bonusCompensation based on experience, education, credentials, and internal equityKey ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic mammography and general radiographic imaging proceduresPrepare and position patients accurately according to exam protocolsProduce high-quality images and review exams for completeness and qualityAssist radiologists and physicians during procedures as neededApply radiation safety and protection principles to minimize exposureMaintain imaging equipment, perform QA checks, and order suppliesProcess images and prepare CDs when requiredCommunicate exam findings to radiologists and relay wet readings when applicableEducate patients and families regarding proceduresMaintain accurate documentation and adhere to imaging standards of careParticipate in staff meetings, in-services, and quality improvement initiativesServe as a preceptor or instructor when assignedRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredGraduate of an accredited radiography or hospital-based imaging programARRT Registered Technologist (RT) requiredNew York State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit requiredMammography certification preferred or required within 1 year of hireCompletion of 40 hours of mammography training, including QA/QC and supervised exams24 ECE credits every 2 years; 15 Category 1 CEUs in mammography every 36 monthsBLS (AHA) certification required (or within 90 days of hire)Completion of Image Gently and Image Wisely radiation safety pledgesCore CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain composed in high-stress environmentsAttention to detail and sound clinical judgmentTeam-oriented mindset with adaptability and professionalismEffective planning, organization, and problem-solving skillsPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand and move throughout the day (approximately 85% of work time)Lift and transport up to 50 pounds and assist patients with mobilityOperate imaging and computer equipment continuouslyWork in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptionsExposure to chemicals and bloodborne pathogens as applicableAbility to respond to emergency sounds and rapidly changing situationsPatient Population ServedNeonatal through geriatric populationsBariatric patientsPatients with special communication, cultural, developmental, or isolation needsWhy This Role & Why White Plains, New YorkThis opportunity is ideal for a Mammography Technologist seeking stability, strong compensation, and long-term growth in an outpatient setting—without weekend or overnight shifts.
