    Job Description :

    SK Siltron CSS has a unique opportunity at the Bay City site in the Bay City, MI area for an Quality Engineer.


    Job Summary:


    This position will be responsible to perform routine monitoring and continual improvement for incoming, production, and/or outgoing processes to ensure quality control is maintained.


    Key Responsibilities :
    Perform routine monitoring of incoming, production, and/or outgoing processes to ensure quality control
    Identify and report supplier and internal quality issues
    Lead Root Cause Investigations (RCIs) for supplier, internal, and/or customer quality issues
    Monitor SPC charts and follow up on Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAPs)
    Coordinate change management activities
    Perform internal Quality audits and participate in external audits
    Perform Gage R&R and process capability analysis
    Investigate customer complaints and establish actions to prevent recurrence
    Follow-up by discussing quality improvement with relevant departments
    Maintain and ensure proper control of documents and records
    Support other miscellaneous activities as needed


    Physical Requirements :


    L-Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.

    Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in a technical field required; Engineering preferred
    3+ years of Quality Control experience
    Formal problem-solving training highly preferred (i.e. Six Sigma, Red X)
    Familiarity with ISO9001, IATF, or similar Quality Management Systems
    Able to communicate effectively with internal engineering, quality, and production teams.
    Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated
    Ability to safely lift and handle material samples over 25lbs on a regular basis
    Computer literate in Windows-based database programs and MS Office products
    Authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship


    Preferred Qualifications :
    Auditing experience preferred
